Highway Patrol will offer a community alliance program
The Missouri Highway Patrol Troop that serves central Missouri offers residents the chance to learn what it’s like to serve on the patrol.
Patrol F Troop members will host a community alliance program, which begins Tuesday, October 26, and will be held at multiple locations in the Jefferson City area. Participants will meet for five consecutive Tuesday evenings.
The program provides the opportunity to meet and interact with soldiers and civilian employees, with courses and practical instruction, covering a variety of topics including roadside checks, traffic accidents and criminal investigations, polygraph exams , DWI application and bomb squad equipment.
Participants will also be able to ride with a soldier. The program will conclude with an awards ceremony held at the Patrol Academy on East Elm Street.
The course will be limited to 20 people and will be filled on a first come, first served basis, after a criminal record check.
