DATAMARK enters into a strategic business alliance with RapidDeploy

DATAMARK, Michael Baker International’s Public Safety Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team, today announced the company’s strategic partnership with RapidDeploy, the leading cloud-native emergency response platform industry, to provide customers with on-demand public safety GIS data hosting. This partnership enables customers to leverage authoritative GIS data hosted by DATAMARK in a secure, highly available cloud environment within RapidDeploy’s product portfolio.

“DATAMARK is proud to partner with RapidDeploy to ensure call takers and dispatchers receive the most up-to-date GIS data in Radius Mapping. Public safety executives and technologists have embraced cloud technology to deliver solutions secure, scalable, and cost-effective to their Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). As we combine our best solutions, our goal is to revolutionize the 9-1-1 experience,” said Robert MurphyAssociate Vice President of DATAMARK.

DATAMARK’s data hosting service enables localities, regions and states to securely host authoritative GIS data layers, such as road axes, emergency service boundaries, PSAP boundaries, maps interiors, etc. in the cloud. Cloud-native storage mitigates the risk of theft, natural disasters, and other local issues that negatively impact public safety GIS data. By using DATAMARK data hosting, RapidDeploy customers can easily access their data in the 9-1-1 call flow, integrated with their phone system.

RapidDeploy will leverage hosted data for its Radius Mapping solution, which is designed to optimize a 9-1-1 caller’s contextual and informative view of location in seconds. Customers leveraging both Radius and DATAMARK VEP benefit from near real-time updates as data is managed, ensuring call takers and dispatchers always have the latest GIS data making authority at your fingertips. DATAMARK VEP provides a highly configurable, user-friendly interface to perform location data validations, make edits, and implement quality control in accordance with the National NG9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) data standards Emergency Number Association (NENA) Next-Generation 9-1-1 and GIS industry best practices. DATAMARK VEP supports data from local and regional GIS data providers and neighboring 9-1-1 authorities, ensuring transparent and accurate data across borders.

“The location of 9-1-1 callers is essential and providing detailed, accurate and up-to-date maps gives public safety authorities the information they need for quick responses,” said Steve Raucher, co-founder and CEO of RapidDeploy. “By partnering with DATAMARK, we are providing 9-1-1 centers with reliable, up-to-date and accurate GIS data. When using our Radius Mapping technology, carriers know they can trust the map.

The partners are currently supporting Florida Region 1, a consortium of twelve counties within Northwest Florida, in which DATAMARK provided public safety GIS services to transfer data to support NG9-1-1 in RapidDeploy Radius Mapping. DATAMARK’s GIS services included GIS data creation, correction and validation services. As part of the Florida Region 1 project, RapidDeploy is also delivering Eclipse Analytics to 9-1-1 centers across the region, providing flexible reporting and analytics to facilitate data-driven operational performance improvements by leveraging call data in real time.
