Creative Alliance presents Adeline with Peachface

Creative Alliance is an organization in downtown Baltimore that supports growing artists. The aim of this center is to provide artists with a comfortable atmosphere full of personal expression and inspiration. The center not only brings underground artists to Baltimore, but it gives the local community a place where they can enjoy new music. Creative Alliance looks like an old movie theater from the outside, but inside it has been recently renovated with friendly volunteers.

On September 29, Creative Alliance introduced Adeline, a rising French bassist. She has toured all over the world. However, this was her first time performing in Baltimore. In the past, Adeline has collaborated with many artists such as Anderson Paak, Chromeo, Big Freeda, and others. Baltimore residents, fans and supporters of the Creative Alliance came to watch the show. Most of the spectators were there to enjoy the show and watch the people make music, even if they didn’t know all the songs.

“I come to Creative Alliance often, even though it’s just an escape from the long working day. I like the atmosphere to let off steam and enjoy the music, ”said an audience member.

Even the opener, Peachface, a freelance pop singer, wowed the crowd with her performance. Peachface set the scene and then introduced Adeline, who stunned the crowd. The opening helped set the tone for the rest of the concert. Like most concerts, Adeline did indeed have a setlist, but she didn’t fully follow it. Adeline and her band played funk jazz songs, but then continued to freestyle themselves to create new beats and vivid sounds for the audience to enjoy.

Adeline tells the crowd:

“My new EP came out at a strange time in the world. However, it gave me a new appreciation for my music and what music is to me.

She shared some new songs from her EP, “Adi Oasis”, and she played some of her personal favorites from her other albums.

Creative Alliance inspires and supports new artists by providing an intimate environment for them to perform and attract new listeners. These performers all have a love for music and, with the help of Creative Alliance, hope to move further into the music industry.
