‘America’s Boating Course’ hosted by the United States Power Squadrons on June 4

The United States Power Squadrons are offering America’s Boating Course on Saturday, June 4 and June 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Port of Egypt Marine in Southold.

The two-part course is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and the US Coast Guard and will ensure that boaters comply with New York State boater education law. Course materials include boating law, safety equipment, safe boating practices, navigation, boating emergencies, personal watercraft, charts, GPS, towing and more.

Participants will receive the 244-page course manual and receive instructions on the materials. After passing an exam, students will receive a certificate of completion and a wallet card.

The event is $60 and registration can be completed online via the Peconic Bay Power Squadron website or by calling Vince Mauceri at (631) 725-3679. Entries must be submitted by Saturday, May 28.
